Some Ramblings

It's been a busy week for Hops and Homers, so let's get right into it.

-The Rangers play today in about a half hour, looking to take a pivotal game 4. If they win, it would give them a 3-1 lead heading back to the Garden for game 5, lose and it's 2-2. Winning game 3 in three overtimes was hopefully a great way to build some momentum. Henrik Lundqvist stood on his head and played a fantastic game. Let's go Rangers!

-The Mets have come back down to earth losing four straight games. They were swept down in Houston by a team they shouldn't have. But then again, the team is average, so they play that way. This season is going to be one of streaks I feel. I think the team has enough firepower to compete, but if the bullpen, which is supposed to be one of the strengths, pitches like it has recently it's going to be a long summer. Either way I will be watching.

-The Knicks, well there's not much to say about them. I tried watching, but Carmelo just dribbles the ball all day. Not the way to win games. They will be swept tomorrow by the Heat so there is no need to talk about them further.

Great food + great beer = Great time
-The Jets signed their second round pick, Stephen Hill, a wide receiver out of Georgia Tech. I find it quite curious that four of their draft picks, all on offense, played in some form of an option offense in college. Didn't they just get a quarterback who fits an offense designed to play the option? Hmm, kind of curious. I'm still a Sanchez supporter, but this is not going to end well for him I have a feeling.

-The Mrs. and I went to a Sierra Nevada beer tasting this week. Like I have said in this space numerous times, Sierra Nevada is my favorite brewery out there. I will drink anything they put out. We got a chance to talk with Chip, who is the Sales rep for NJ, and got a chance to eat some amazing food and taste some awesome beers. I look forward to going back to another dinner at the Rocky Hill Inn and also visiting to try out some more amazing burgers from Chef Evan.

That's all for now with my ramblings. Stay tuned for the weekly beer review along with some other posts this week.

As always, you can follow Hops and Homers on Twitter and Facebook. Until next time.
