This week the NFL has a Thursday night kickoff again. This time it is the Jets at the Broncos. The Jets will look to rebound against a team they should beat. The Broncos will try to run the ball tonight about 40 times. It will be like watching the professional version of Army or Navy. The read option has made its way into the NFL. I'm curious to see how it will work going forward, once teams have time to prepare and figure out a scheme to stop it. The Wildcat was short lived, although teams still try to run it here and there, it's not every play. I wonder how long the read option lasts.
Here's my pick (Home team in CAPS):
Jets (-6) vs. BRONCOS
I think the Jets defense steps up and stops Tebow and the Broncos running attack. Hopefully this week, Schotty let's Sanchez throw a little because the Denver pass defense is not that good. I really want to see a big bounce back from the Jets here. I want to see a complete game and a complete win. With LaDainian Tomlinson out this week, Joe McKnight looks to be a big part of this offense. My prediction is 27-13 win for the Jets.
The rest of my week 11 picks will be out on Sunday. Until next time.
